- The Tourist: Angelina Jolie e Johnny Depp diretti (ancora) da Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck
Ennesima sostituzione nella produzione di The Tourist, il remake a stelle e strisce del thriller francese Anthony Zimmer. Il regista Alfonso Cuarón è fuori; rientra, invece, il tedesco Florian Henckel von Donnersmarck (autore del bellissimo Le vite degli altri), che si era sganciato dal progetto per divergenze creative.
La pellicola sarà interpretata da Johnny Depp e Angelina Jolie; le riprese cominceranno in primavera. La Jolie sarà un’agente dell’Interpol che trascinerà un malcapitato turista (Depp) in una rischiosa indagine per rintracciare un criminale che una volta era il suo fidanzato.
La pellicola originale, decisamente poco memorabile, era interpretata da Sophie Marceau e Yvan Attal. Mettere insieme questo remake è stata una vera impresa: progettato inizialmente per Tom Cruise e Charlize Theron, il film è stato anche proposto a Sam Worthington (l’eroe di Avatar).
Tra le varie stesure del copione, una delle ultime è stata scritta da Christopher McQuarrie, premio Oscar per I soliti sospetti.
