- Speciale Festival della Fotografia Etica
Inizia a Lodi un nuovo festival di fotografia. Un’iniziativa unica, interamente dedicata alla relazione tra etica, comunicazione e fotografia
Per i tempi che stiamo vivendo può apparire come una vera e propria scommessa. Incentrare un intero festival di fotografia sull’approfondimento della dimensione etica e sul rapporto che quest’ultima intrattiene con il mondo della comunicazione e del fotoreportage può infatti sembrare anacronistico, soprattutto vista la direzione imboccata ultimamente da questi due settori. Eppure proprio per questo motivo, il Festival della Fotografia Etica di Lodi potrebbe essere l’occasione giusta per compiere un primo piccolo passo in direzione di una rinnovata attenzione per quelle funzioni comunicative che un certo tipo di fotografia, dedita all’informazione, dovrebbe assolvere soprattutto nella divulgazione di tematiche a carattere umanitario.
Nata da un'idea del Gruppo Fotografico Progetto Immagine di Lodi, questa manifestazione vorrebbe infatti essere un’occasione diversa per avvicinare il pubblico a contenuti di grande rilevanza etica, promuovendo contemporaneamente lo stesso mezzo fotografico a strumento di conoscenza e di approfondimento dei numerosi temi proposti. Per farlo, gli organizzatori hanno quindi strutturato questa prima edizione programmando, da un lato, una serie di mostre dedicate a quei fotoreporter che hanno messo la propria opera al servizio di note ONG al fine di divulgare alcune tematiche centrali per le loro attività; dall’altro, un ciclo di incontri serali in cui verranno proiettati i progetti realizzati sull’argomento da alcuni photo-collectives, ovvero gruppi di fotografi professionisti indipendenti. Seguendo tali linee guida, nei prossimi quattro giorni la città di Lodi verrà coinvolta anche in una serie di attività parallele, come dibattiti, incontri e letture portfolio. Tutto questo per dimostrare come possa ancora esistere un tipo di comunicazione fotografica lontana dal sensazionalismo imperante e capace di veicolare i propri contenuti attraverso una forma estetica che, accordandosi con questi, trasmetta il pieno rispetto “dell’altro”. Un modo per alzare il sipario sul lavoro di tutti quei fotoreporter, indipendenti o meno, che cercano ancora di svolgere la propria professione come “osservatori partecipanti” e non come semplici “predatori di immagini”.
Un festival da seguire con attenzione, dunque, qualunque sia il suo esito. E noi di Alphabetcity non mancheremo certo l’appuntamento, cercando di raccontarvi, nei prossimi giorni, i dettagli del suo sviluppo.
