Dal 18 al 31 luglio al Giffoni si scopre ciò che tutti, in fondo, cercano: l’amore. Un viaggio da compiere in compagnia di ospiti straordinari.

Dopo quarant'anni il Giffoni Film Festival parla d’amore; ma si potrebbe dire che per quarant’anni non ha pensato ad altro affrontando temi che, seppur diversi, si possono considerare frammenti di un unico discorso amoroso. Dal 18 al 31 luglio, spazio, dunque, a discussioni, incontri e proiezioni dedicate ai ragazzi, tutte con un fondamentale elemento in comune: il sentimento amoroso inteso come energia che muove il mondo, che ci spinge verso gli altri.
Ma anche largo alle tantissime anteprime, imperdibili e molto attese dagli adolescenti e anche dai più piccini: spiccano ovviamente Cattivissimo me e L’apprendista stregone, ma è impossibile non menzionare anche Sansone, e i teaser di Shrek e vissero felici e contenti, Le avventure di Sammy 3D, Animals United , Benvenuti al sud e di Winx club 3D- Magica avventura, il sospirato ritorno di Bloom e delle sue amiche sul grande schermo.
A guidarci in questa avventura che già si rivela emozionante ci saranno moltissimi ospiti tra cui: Samuel L. Jackson, Jesse McCartney, Susan Sarandon, Elijah Wood, Claudia Pandolfi, Ambra Angiolini, raul Bova, Giovanna Mezzogiorno, Isabella Ragonese, Michele Riondino e Ficarra e Picone.
Ma come si potrebbe parlare d’amore senza le note di una colonna sonora in sottofondo? A cominciare da Carmen Consoli e passando per Baustelle, i Finley ed Elio e le storie tese, ce ne sarà davvero per tutti i gusti. Non mancherà neanche Ligabue, in veste di regista, però, che durante una delle Masterclass più attese di quest’anno racconterà la sua esperienza dietro la macchina da presa. Inoltre il Giffoni premierà questo artista poliedrico con il suo riconoscimento più alto, il Premio Truffaut.
Ovviamente il tema principale sarà fortemente presente anche nelle sezioni del festival a cominciare da ELEMENTS +6 e ELEMENTS +10 in cui si racconta come l’amore e l’amicizia riescano a superare le differenze religiose, sociali e culturali ad ogni latitudine. L’amore tra genitori e figli sarà invece al centro di GENERATOR +13, sezione, in cui, tristemente, padri e madri sembrano ripiegarsi su loro stessi e sulle loro vite, lasciando egoisticamente che i figli prendano pericolose derive. All’interno di GENERATOR +13 vale la pena di segnalare il kolossal francese La Rafle, interpretato da Jean Reno e Melanie Laurent. In questo film, che porta sullo schermo l’atrocità delle deportazioni naziste ai danni degli ebrei in una Parigi occupata e collaborazionista, i genitori sono pronti a tutto pur di non vedersi strappare dal petto e dalle braccia i propri tesori inestimabili: i figli. Un’opera che segue attraverso lo sguardo dei più piccoli i destini reali di chi ha perso ogni cosa nell’infamia dei campi di concentramento e di una guerra atroce. Infine tra le pellicole di GENERATOR + 16, la sezione dedicata ai più grandi, nella quale si affronteranno temi più vicini all’università e al mondo degli adulti in genere, è il caso di sottolineare lapresenza di Cracks: 1934, l'opera prima di Jordan Scott (figlia di Ridley). Il film, ambientato in una scuola per sole ragazze, segue la storia di Miss G (la straordinaria Eva Green che Bertolucci scelse per The Dreamers), un'enigmatica e affascinante insegnante che ispira una lealtà fanatica nel piccolo circolo di giovani della sua squadra di tuffatrici. Equilibrio ed armonia regolano le relazioni tra le ragazze della scuola fino all'arrivo di una ragazza spagnola, nuova collegiale, che mette sottosopra questo piccolo mondo austero, scatenando una tempesta di gelosie e rivalità. La figura carismatica di Miss G vacillla ed emergono nuove sfumature dei personaggi, si svelano emozioni e fragilità.
