L’attrice è riuscita a firmare un contratto con la Atlantic Records (la stessa che produce gli album di James Blunt e Kid Rock): l’accordo, che a quanto pare ammonta a novecentomila dollari, le permetterà di incidere il suo primo disco, un album country pop. La Paltrow, moglie del frontman dei Coldplay Chris Martin, seguirà le orme di colleghe come Scarlett Johansson, Juliette Lewis e Milla Jovovich, tentando di avere il suo breakthrough nel mondo della musica.
